Rev Dr Ruth Patterson, Director, is a Presbyterian minister. Her university experience includes, Queen's University Belfast, University of Toronto Canada, and Edinburgh University where she did her theological training. In 1976 she was the first woman to be ordained in Ireland. Her first book ‘A Farther Shore’ was published in March 2000 recounting her personal journey in prose and verse. Her second book ‘Journeying Towards Reconciliation – A Song For Ireland’ was published in March 2003. Ruth was awarded, ‘The University of Edinburgh/Royal Bank of Scotland Alumna of the Year Award 2000’. In May 2001 Ruth received an honorary Doctorate from the Presbyterian Theological Faculty of Ireland. In January 2003 Ruth was awarded an OBE for her work in reconciliation.
Mrs Eithne Agnew PA and IT co-ordinator worked in education teaching IT before joining Restoration Ministries in 1996. Her nationalist background adds to the diversity of the team.
Mrs Rose Ozo came to Northern Ireland in 1982 from Nigeria where she had worked as a teacher in secondary education. She joined the team in 2001 and is responsible for the maintenance of existing databases, the development of new contacts and overseeing the ongoing work of ‘prayer ministry/listening’.
Restoration Ministries was founded in 1988. It is a company limited by guarantee and is registered in Northern Ireland No NI 44385. The Directors are drawn from major Christian churches in Ireland.
